2. Website provision and hosting

This website is hosted by DomainFactory GmbH, c/o WeWork, Neuturmstrasse 5, 80331 München, Deutschland. The hosting provider processes the technical access data needed to deliver and securely operate the website, particularly in server logs.

When you access the website, technically necessary connection data may be processed. This may include your IP address, the time of access, the page requested, the referrer, and information about your browser and device. This processing is necessary to provide the website securely and reliably and is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and uninterrupted operation of our website.

Technical access data is processed to operate the website, diagnose errors and prevent misuse. Retention depends on the relevant technical purpose and applicable legal requirements.

3. Audition enquiries

Through the audition enquiry form, we process the child’s name and age, information about their musical interests and experience, their motivation, the name of a parent or guardian, and that person’s email address, telephone number and optional message.

The data is used solely to respond to the enquiry, arrange an appointment and prepare for possible membership of the choir. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and, where necessary, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (reliable communication and organisation). The enquiry is submitted by a parent or guardian.

If the child does not join the choir, we delete the form data no later than six months after the correspondence has concluded, unless a legal obligation or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims requires longer retention.

4. Newsletter

When you subscribe to the newsletter, we process your first name, last name and email address. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by emailing info@chorkunst.de.

The email address is currently added to the newsletter mailing list manually. After consent has been withdrawn, we remove it from the mailing list. We may retain evidence of the consent for the applicable statutory limitation periods and as otherwise required to demonstrate compliance.

5. Form submission and email service

The forms are transmitted to us through a Cloudflare Worker. We use Brevo to send notifications to us and confirmation emails to the person submitting the form. The respective service providers process the data required for these purposes on our behalf or as part of providing their technical services.

Data is disclosed to other recipients only where this is necessary to respond to the enquiry, where we are legally required to do so, or where consent has been given.

6. Protection against automated submissions

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our forms against spam and automated misuse. Cloudflare processes technical signals from the device and connection to determine whether a submission is likely to have been made by a person. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in protecting the website and its forms.

7. Technically necessary cookies and similar technologies

The website does not use analytics or marketing cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile protects the forms (see section 6). Where information is stored on or read from your device for this purpose and this is strictly necessary for the service you explicitly request, the legal basis is section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG. Subsequent processing of personal data is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is preventing spam and misuse.

8. Transfers to third countries

When Cloudflare or Brevo services are used, processing outside the European Economic Area cannot be entirely excluded. Where required, such transfers are based on an adequacy decision, in particular the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. No analytics or marketing trackers

This website does not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or comparable marketing trackers. External websites such as Instagram and YouTube are accessed only through links. Their respective privacy policies apply only after you follow those links.

10. Your rights

Subject to the applicable statutory requirements, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise your rights, simply email info@chorkunst.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA) ↗.

11. Encryption and updates

This website is transmitted using encrypted HTTPS connections. We update this Privacy Policy when the website, the services used or the legal requirements change.
