Children and young people aged 9 and above can get to know Voices of Munich — the concert choir of the Munich School of Choral Arts — through a free individual audition.

Children and young people who love to sing, work with focus and are curious about challenging music. Previous choir experience is welcome, but not required. What matters is musical curiosity, concentration and a willingness to engage in music-making as part of an ensemble.

How we get to know each other
The audition is free of charge.
Meet
The audition lasts around 30 minutes and is led by Maksim Matsiushenkau. We sing together, try a few simple vocal and listening exercises and leave time for questions.
Try the choir
If it feels right on both sides, we invite your child to join the choir for a few rehearsals. This gives them an opportunity to experience how we work, get to know the ensemble and discover what it feels like to be part of Voices of Munich.
What children discover with us
- Their own voice — and the confidence to trust it.
They learn to use their voice consciously, develop it and shape music through it.
- How to listen closely — to themselves, the music and one another.
Through singing in parts, they develop their musical ear and experience how much every individual voice matters to the whole.
- How many independent voices become one shared sound.
They learn to hear, read and understand music — and gradually take responsibility for intonation, rhythm, expression and ensemble.
- That they can do more on stage than they thought possible.
Concerts, tours and special projects allow them to experience what focused work together can achieve.
